SocialToo - How to Personalize Your Facebook URL

Image representing Facebook as depicted in Cru...Image via CrunchBase

Personalize your Facebook URL : SocialToo allows you to create a custom domain for your Facebook profile page such as username.socialtoo.com. This allows you to share your Facebook site with other people without requiring them to search for you on Facebook to find your profile. Granted, you might have to explain to your friends that even though Facebook.com isn't in the Web address it's still takes you to your Facebook page. The domain is much easier to remember than an eight-digit profile ID.

Signing up with SocialToo is quick and free. You can set up your Facebook settings under "preferences" on SocialToo's Website. Just remember to choose your SocialToo username wisely.

Information copied from Ten Facebook Tips For Power Users

My personalized Facebook URL is http://jessifay.socialtoo.com if you would like to see how it works.

If you decide to sign up, do not worry about the "New One-Time Fee" notice that comes up. It only applies to options available for Twitter. The Personalized Facebook URL is completely Free.

Anyone figure out how to follow all the Networking/IM stuff at once?

I would like to know if there is a program or one site that follows networking sites as well as IMs. Where you can can chat, update your status, get your messages, etc. All from one location.

I never really get any of these things filled out all the way as well. They always are slanted towards what is on my mind at that moment, instead of my overall philosophy as a whole. Is there a place that we can fill everything out ONCE. As things we update things on our "master" profile, it will update your profile on the networking sites?

If keeping our profiles updated automatically isn't an option, how about manually? I found a Firefox addon that does that with a LOT of forms -- Sxipper -- but it doesn't work for Social Networking questions.

Thanks!!!

Wink

Here is a list of most of the places I am online. Not all of them are there yet, but I will update it in the future. And/or post a blog here about other places you can find me. If you are on these sites as well, please feel free to add me as a friend.

This is only social networking sites, it doesn't include Instant Messengers. I will get that information posted later.

Also, make sure you scroll down -- only 5 are showing but at the time this was posted there were 9, so... don't miss any :)

About Wink

Wink is a people search engine that makes it easy to find and connect with people online. Wink.com is the largest online people search with more than 200 million people profiles from across the Web, including social networks and other online communities.

Find People

Our search engine includes people from all walks of life -- from celebrities to that guy who sat next to you in chemistry class. Wink allows you to search for all of them by name, location, school, work or interests.

Be Found

You can also use Wink to enable you to be found on the Wink search engine and other traditional search engines. By creating a profile on Wink, you can manage your web presence. Wink allows you to claim and add various places where you are online, and provides you an interface to manage all of them in one place. This gives you the power to determine what people know about you and where you are on the web.

Stay Connected

Users can contact other users they find on Wink, and can also choose how they like to be contacted. Users can set their preferred method of contact, so that people who are looking for them can get in touch with them.

Welcome & MySpace

Thank you for checking out my blog. I have a son turning that I placed for adoption turning 18 years on August 9, 2009. I want to make it as easy as possible to be found if he chooses to look for me. So, I'm signing up at several different social networking sites. (I'm also looking for girls I went to school with as well.)

In order to keep all of the sites straight and to let everyone know where I'm signed up - I plan to keep all that information listed right here.

The site I'm listing today is MySpace -- My address at Myspace is http://www.myspace.com/jcradiator

Of course the sites will also be mixed with my thoughts at that time. So, please read the "fine print". (Which hasn't been written yet, but will include that my views and feelings are subject to change. They are often irrational, and that is why most times I try not to express my opinions online. Please don't take offense. I accept that everyone has differing opinions. I do not claim that my opinions are correct. They just happen to be what I believe, but I do know without a doubt that I could ABSOLUTELY be WRONG!!! So, that being said. Please respect that I am entitled to feel however I feel at the moment I wrote whatever it was I wrote. Thank you. I will try to word this better in a more permanent "fine print" version."
